The Spot

The Spot is an innovative mobile application I've been developing as a passion project to address a critical pain point in professional photography. Born from my firsthand experience, this app solves the persistent challenge of efficiently finding and evaluating photo locations—especially in cities I’ve never been too.

Currently still in the design phase, The Spot enables photographers to save, manage, and share their favorite shooting locations within a dedicated community platform. What sets this project apart is its human-centered design approach; I've conducted extensive user interviews and in-depth research with professional photographers to ensure the application genuinely addresses their workflow challenges.

The app provides comprehensive location details including lighting conditions throughout the year, climate information, and site-specific notes—allowing photographers to make informed decisions without time-consuming physical scouting. This solution empowers photography professionals to dedicate more time to client relationships and business growth rather than location hunting.
